Photo Content Q & A

A lot of people are wondering if the photos have to be from the Tofino Mudflats WMA or if they can be from mudflats outside the WMA. Here is the scoop: the objectives of this contest are 1) to raise local awareness and stewardship of the Tofino Mudflats WMA and similar habitats, and 2) to acquire photos of this area for use on the RES's new website to increase world-wide awareness of this special area. Therefore, if the photo subject is something that can also be found in the WMA (e.g. eelgrass beds, shorebirds, clams, etc), is taken in comparable habitat and CANNOT be identified as outside of the WMA (i.e. through landscape or habitat), it is acceptable. Landscape photos must contain a portion of the WMA. You will be notified if a submission is unacceptable.
